How It Works

Each pulse of the VisAMT Silk laser begins inside the handpiece, where four precisely tuned diodes emit light at different wavelengths.
These wavelengths are combined through an optical combiner to form a single, balanced beam that penetrates the skin at multiple depths simultaneously.

Once delivered to the skin, the light travels down each hair shaft to the follicle root, where it is absorbed by melanin pigment and converted into gentle heat.
This heat destroys the follicle’s growth cells while leaving the surrounding tissue unharmed.

Because multiple wavelengths reach different layers of the skin, more follicles are effectively targeted in each session, leading to faster results and fewer total treatments required per client.

Laser hair removal works by targeting pigment, so it is most effective on hairs containing colour — from light brown to black.
It cannot treat white, grey, or very light-blonde hairs, as they lack sufficient melanin to absorb the laser energy.

Hair grows in three natural phases — anagen (growth), catagen (transition), and telogen (rest) — meaning not all follicles are active at the same time.
